Yoga gives holistic benefits, says Governor

Yoga is an invaluable contribution of India to the world and it personifies unity of mind, body, thought and action, said Governor ESL Narasimhan in Hyderabad on Tuesday. International Day of Yoga was celebrated in Raj Bhavan where the Governor and Lady Governor Vimala Narasimhan and officials participated. Yoga guru Ravi Kishore conducted the yoga exercises for about an hour in the Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan. Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said Yoga provides a holistic approach to health and well-being of humans. Narasimhan advised everybody in society, particularly, the youth to practise yoga on daily basisto get rid of stress and anxiety. Later, a nutritious breakfast which included millets kichidi, multi-grain laddu, sprouts salad, poha upma, and raagi java was served to all. A booklet on preparation of various recipes with millets also was distributed. Advisors to the Governor APVN Sharma, A.K. Mohanty, Principal Secretary to Governor Haripreet Singh, State Election Commissioner, GoAP, Dr N Ramesh Kumar, Basanth Kumar, Joint Secretary to Governor and other senior officers, their family members and others participated.
