YCP demands details of secret deal with Singapore on Amaravati lands
The Chandrababu Naidu government has mortgaged Amaravati lands to a Singapore firm and there is a secret deal behind it, alleges YCP. Demanding details of the alleged secret deal, YCP Scheduled Castes cell leader Meruga Nagarjuna on Tuesday demanded a white paper on the division of Amaravati lands. He said that even the farmers of Amaravati, who have given their lands to the government, were in the dark as to the deal with Singapore. He said the land allotment was not going on properly. The Chandrababu government was selling the lands to foreign companies. He questioned what development in the 33,000 acres donated by the farmers of Amaravati had taken place. On Monday, the land plots at Tulluru were to be distributed among the farmers by a draw of lots. But the ceremony was postponed to June 25 on account of heavy rain.
