Only 5 of 95 RTC depots profitable: KCR

Fri, Jun 17, 2016, 03:02 PM
Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday warned RTC workers that if any of them were to work against the interests of the corporation, they would lose their jobs. He also deprecated the RTC workers going on frequent strike. This was causing huge loss to the corporation. He said new thinking should go into rejuvenating the RTC.

KCR said it was shameful that of the 95 depots in the State, only five should be making profit. Therefore, the RTC staff should work for protecting and stregthening the organisation.

The RTC should run on the routes that are profitable. They should think like the travels do.

A liaison officer Venkateswarlu would be appointed to coordinate between the RTC and the Transport Department, he added.
