School gives TCs to students as parents protest over fees

Schoolchildren and their parents on Wednesday demonstrated at the Amrita Vidyalayam at Mahindra Hills near AOC Gate in Secunderabad to protest against the issue of transfer certificates served on 29 students whose parents did not pay the hiked school fees. The agitated parents and their supporters arrived in hundreds at the school to raise slogans and protest against the hike in school fees by private schools in the twin cities. The police were also there to control the demonstration. the parents were seen urging the police to refrain from controlling because the students and their parents were staging a peaceful demonstration. The parents bemaoned that when they protested against the hiked fees, their chidren were given TCs. Hyderabad Parents Association and Students organisations joined the demonstration of the parents at the school. Schoolchidren in their uniforms squatted before the closed gate of the school.
