Private schools belying educational values: Chukka Ramaiah

Noted educationist Chukka Ramaiah on Saturday regretted that private managements of educational institutions were belying educational values. There was no apparent yardstick for increasing the tuition fees in private educational institutions. Ramiah met the parents and people's organisations at Indira Park, protesting against the attitude of private managements that were rising the burden on the parents. He bemoaned that in the name of providing facilities to students the private managements were hiking the fees. At this rate, education was becoming a very costly thing for the parents. He demanded that private educational institutions in Telangana should follow the same norms as in the other States as for the collection of tuition fees.
