Every country attracted to India, Modi tells NRIs

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has described as his good fortune that India is growing at a faster pace despite economic downturn all round and amid drought conditons. Talking to non-resident Indians in Doha, the Prime Minister said global agencies agreed that if there was a country that was growing in the economic slow down all around, it was India. India had clocked a high growth rate in the last 2 years, and in the last quarter the growth it recorded was 7.9%. `This is my good fortune,' he said. The Prime Minister was in the second leg of his five-nation tour. In Qatar, which was his second stop, he signed seven agreements with that country, including skill development, tourism and information on terrorists. Every country in the world is curious about India, attracted to India, he said. The welcome change in India had not happened because of Narendra Modi. It had happened because of her 125 crore people. `I get the strength to fight the corruption from you,' he added.
