Yellow TDP shirts turn white in Vijayawada

Mon, May 30, 2016, 12:18 PM
The temple town of Tirupati was painted yellow during the three days of ruling TDP Mahanadu there, which concluded on Sunday. Come Monday, the yellow shirts were shelved, and most of the leaders got back to their political white shirts. White is prefered by all parties to show to the people how honest they are.

So, when TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu called for an urgent meeting in Vijayawada to discuss the names of candidates for the Rajya Sabha elections, most of the top leaders from both the Telugu States turned in their spick and span white. They included TDP Chief General Secretary, Nara Lokesh, who was the star of the show in Tirupati. Ministers Achchen Naidu, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Prattipati Pulla Rao and Nimmakayala Chinarajappa.

The others in white included Sujana Chowdary, who got renominated to the Rajya Sabha, Revanth Reddy from Telangana, Nama Nageshwar Rao and Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy.

Those who invariably wear yellow shirts included TDP's AP unit president, Kala Venkat Rao, Minister Chintakayala Ayyanpatrudu, Kambhampati Rammohan Rao and some others.

Chief Minister Chandragbabu Naidu, who is mostly in yellow, for a change got into a brown shirt, which is his prefered colour.
