Getting energised by capital construction, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday described the capital coming up at Amaravati as `dream capital'.

Chandrababu said the capital would be outstanding among the cities in the world. Nobody opposed the name Amaravati. The capital would be developed in such a way that it would represent and remind one of the India as a whole. Plans were afoot to develop Amaravati as a greenfield city. There were also plans to construct 220-kilometre ring road around the capital.

The Chief Minister told the TDP Mahanadu in Tirupati that all offices of the AP government in Hyderabad would be transferred to Amaravati by June.

He said the people's aspirations in this regard would be fulfilled. He said the farmers interests would not be hit, and they would be compensated for their land.

While they were building a dream city, he said a leader of the opposition was blocking Express Way in the proposed capital. The opposition was spreading falsehood on the constructions. Stating that while the opposition was indulging in severe criticism, he said there was a need to reject such criticism.

Chandrababu said the construction of a capital city was once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. He told the opposition to cooperate with the government. If you don't want to do so, sit quietly at home, but don't criticise.

Amaravati is the capital of the mythical kingdom of Indra, king of gods.
