Telangana government's survey enters records book

Hyderabad, May 26: The historic house-to-house survey conducted by the Telangana government on a single day with a marathon work of collecting complete details of people goes into the history of national records.

Limca Book of Records has recognized the effort of the Telangana Government and acknowledged it with a certificate. Limca Book of Records Editor Vijay Ghosh sent a certificate to the State government. Ghosh noted that Telangana Government conducted a first of its kind survey in India.

As many as four lakh employees worked for collecting the data pertaining to 1.49 crore families on a single day from 7 am to 8 pm at one go. Age, qualifications, profession, Adhar card, bank accounts, assets, houses and others were among the details collected in the survey. It helped to find out the socio-economic conditions of the people, the Limca Book of Records noted, said a CMO press release.
