Despite the formidable batting line-up, Royal Challengers Bangalore had dropped down in the table, having to win every of the four remaining matches to remain in the reckoning.

Devilliers, the man with the best batting average, formidable Chris Gayle and Indian batting sensation Virat Kohli are all in the team. But the team had slipped down the table, winning only four of the ten matches it had played.

With four more matches to go, the players say it would be difficult for them hereon. Yajuvendra, RCB member, said as much. They would be doing their best.

The Vijay Mallya owned RCB record tells. They had not won the tournament in the past eight seasons. Would they be ninth time lucky? It remains to be seen.

Their hurdle for the day is Gujarat Lions, which is making waves under Suresh Raina. He many not have done much as a batsman, but he is doing great as Captain. In the team is Ravindra Jadeja, who once picked on Raina for missing the Captain's bus.
