Sat, Apr 23, 2016, 04:57 PM
A Rajshahi University English Professor, Rezaul Karim Siddique, 58, was hacked to death in Bangladesh in the continuation of attacks on secular bloggers in that country. He was attaked with machetes as he was returning hom from the university.

The fundamentalists are said to have prepared a list of 84 bloggers in Bangladesh.

Siddique had set up a school in the fundamentalist stronghold of Bagmara. The outlawed Jamayetul Mujahideen Bangladesh had killed an Italian priest there last year.

Three secular bloggers had been killed in Bangladesh since August last.

Religious minorities like Shias, Hindus, Ahmadi Muslims and Christians are also not spared by the fundamentalists in Bangladesh. Like in Pakistan and in other Islamic countries, the minorities are frequently attacked.
