Lalu finds Modi bad omen because of drought

Fri, Apr 15, 2016, 03:03 PM
Former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav made a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi calling him a bad omen for the country, saying since his swearing-in there had been water shortage in the country.

Flaying the BJP and the RSS as anti-dalit and anti-minorities, the former Bihar Chief Minister said the Prime Minister launching the `Gram uday se Bharat uday' programme was aimed at coming Uttar Pradesh election and attempt to brteak the vote-bank of Mayawati's BSP.

Attending a BR Ambedkar function, Lalu sought investigations into the assets of gurus and babas, particularly Ramdev Baba, who changed his loyalty from fromer UP Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar who organised a World Music Festival on the Yamuna banks recently. `Assets of all these hi-fi saints should be probed,' he added.

He was particularly severe on Sri Sri Ravishankar who allegedly said those who did not love this country should leave. `On what basis he assessed that somebody does not love his country,' Lalu wondered.
