Another young blogger killed in Bangladesh

The killing of bloggers regarded as anti-Islamic continues in Bangladesh. The latest blogger to be killed brutally is Nazimuddin Samad, a law student of Dhaka's Jagannath university. Samad's head was hacked with a machete on Wednesday night. As he fell down, he was also shot. The assailants shouted `Allahu Akbar' as they waylaid and killed Samad. Samad, of Sylhet, had recently arrived in Dhaka to study law. But, according to the police, the killers had been planning the conspiracy even before he came to Dhaka. Last year, Islamist students hacked to death four atheist bloggers for their posts in the social media. They also killed a secular publisher in Bangladesh. The Muslim majority country does not tolerate any anti-Islam activity. The blogging activity has its origins in the country's independence from Pakistan. The Bengali-speaking Bangladeshis see Islamic forces as the reason for their suppression under the previous Pakistani regime. Following thier independence, they have taken liberties with the Islamic forces.
