IIT Madras hits top educational spot

The IITs continue to dominate among the institutions in the country, led by IIT Madras in the engineering category. The IITs in Bombay and Karagpur stood second and third. The IIM Bangalore, left the IIMA in the second spot and Kolkata in the third spot in the management category. Among the universities, the Indian Institute of Science stood at the top followed by Indian Institute of Chemcial Technology. Surprisingly, Jawaharlal Nehru University bagged the third spot in the universities despite the students unrest therein. It is well known that the JNU had the oustanding faculty in the country as a whole. That might be the essential reason for the JNU figuring among the top three universities. The ideas of the students are not essentially first rate. In the sciences, the Manipal Pharmceutical college was the winner followed by the University Insitute of Pharma sciences, chandigarh, and Jamia Hamdard of New Delhi in the third place. Significantly, the list was released by Human Resources Minister Smriti Irani on Monday. It had used for the survey international databases Scopus, web of science.
