Vijay Mallya chafes at people blaming son Siddarth

Wed, Mar 30, 2016, 02:46 PM
The King of Good Times, Vijay Mallya, who owes thousands of crores to banks, chafes at criticism of his son, Siddharth Mallya, in connection with non-payments.

In a twitter message, Vijay Mallya said he owed the monies to the banks, not his son. Siddharth was innocent. He could not be faulted over the non-payments. It was he who would have to repay the banks.

`If you want to blame, put the blame on me, not Siddharth,' the tweet said.

Vijay Mallya went abroad after packing as many as 11 bags. That he had escaped to London was informed to the Supreme Court by the CBI, which did not act in the case despite knowing about Vijay Mallya's foreign plans.

After the horse had bolted, by the way Vijay Mallya is active in the racecourse too, the finance agencies have become active. They are at present trying to find out if Vijay Mallya had used the hawala route to transfer funds abroad.
