Farooq describes Mathura widows playing Holi a proud moment

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah on Wednesday said women should be allowed in all temples in the country. In a free-wheeling interview to NDTV, Farooq hailed the Mathura widows playing Holi. Breaking the tradition, some 1000 widows at Brindavan played Holi. This was a proud movement that should be recognized by all, he said. Likewise, women should be allowed into all temples. He noted that the country was progressing in all directions and positive. The former Chief Minister said he was expecting an agreed formula from the PDP and the BJP partners in Jammu and Kashmir. The people had been looking forward to an agreed formula between them. Now the alliance parties should form the much-needed government, he added. Referring to the attacks on Brussels airport, Farooq said the entire world should come together and fight the ISIS menace.
