Twin blasts at Brussels airport kill 12

Tue, Mar 22, 2016, 02:44 PM
At least 12 people were killed in twin blasts that ripped through Brussels' airport in Belgium on Tuesday morning by suspected ISIS terrorists who raised slogans in Arabic amid gunfire.

Air passengers in large numbers were reportedly injured in the balsts that occurred in the departure hall of the airport.

Immediately, the airport security combed the area for terrorists. A bomb that did not go off was found during the combing operation.

The airport was closed soon after the twin blasts.

According to Belgium's public broadcaster RTBF, there were shots fired and shouts in Arabic in the airport before the explosions.

The police regard this as reprisal following the arrest of the Paris terrorist actions suspect, Saleh Abdeseslam, who was arrested 4 days ago.
