Wed, Mar 09, 2016, 10:57 AM
South Superstar Rajnikant was conspicuous by his absence at the Madurai Court in a case of plagiarism filed by K.V. Ravi Rathinam that his story was stolen and used in the film `Linga' in which the superstar acted.

Apart from Rajnikant the others who were summoned to the court include director KS Ravi Kumar, story writer B. Ponkumar and producer Rockline Venkatesh.

While the hearing has begun in the case, lawyers for Rajnikant have appealed to the High Court that the Superstar be spared from appearance in the hearing.

The court took the Superstar's appeal into consdieration and postponed the case hearing.

The plaintiff, Ravi rathinam, had earlier appealed to the court that the case of the Madras High Court be transfered to Madurai for hearing, which was granted.
