Ringing Bells wants to make use of Internet space

Ringing Bells, promising the cheapest featured mobile in the country at Rs 251 per handset, has determined the market space in the cell phone market as the introduction of internet. It worked on that space and found it has scope to grow. Ringing Bells president Ashok Chadha said their idea was to introduce internet to 140 million Indians, who lack the facility on their sets at present. It was in order to get to these 140 million people that the startup was looking for entrepreneurs who could make this possible. They wanted those financiers who could invest Rs.500 crore each. The talks were going on in this regard, and the response was favourable. In the next two months, the company would be opening three manufacturing units and hoped to deliver 2.5 million sets to the online applicants by June. The company was actually started 8 mionths ago, and at that time this kind of massive response was not even imagined. Now that things fell in place, they would be going ahead with their plans. There was no bluff and they had shared their thoughts frankly with Union Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad who had in fact appreciated their plans. Apart from Chadha, Managing Director Mohit Goel had also met the minister. Thus Ringling Bells is jingling all the way to the netizen applicants.
