Infosys to offer equity shares to staff

Infosys has decided to give equity shares to its staff who are working for the company's prosperity. The Infosys management has decided to give 1.5% of the total shares to its employees. Such a decision was in force in the 90s. It is being revived again, Chief Operating Officer Praveen Rao has revealed. Praveen Rao said the second biggest software firm in the country was planning for introducing new incentives to its employees. The equity shares are part of the plan. The decision has to be comulsorily be approved by the general body. So a general body meeting of the company was being called for to approve of the equity share decision, he added. The move would enable the employees to be part of the management indirectly, while working to their utmost.
