Aussie cops visit Hyderabad police stations

An Australian police team on Saturday visited a couple of police stations in Hyderabad to find out how policing is done in the city. The team led by Mathews first visited Abids police station, and followed it up with a visit to Chilkalguda police station. The Australians showed keen interest on finding out how cases are filed, investigations done, how criminals are identified, how fast the police reach the trouble spots, who the public meet when they come with a complaint and so on were ascertained. North Zone Additional DCP YV Yadagiri explained to the visiting Australian cops how things are done here. It will be interesting to know that some of the laws made by the British in the 19th century are still implemented. Although in cyber crime the police are making headway, in many other respects they are as old as the British.
