TRS implicating me, alleges TDP MLA

Maganti Gopinath, TDP MLA from Jubilee Hills, on Thursday alleged that the TRS in Telangana was browbeating him to join the ruling party or face foisting of cases on him. Already there were reports that the ACB was preparing to arrest him in connection with Stephenson's Notes-for-vote case either today or tomorrow. Gopinath said it was after he had refused to succmb to TRS threats that he was implicated as the provider of the spoils offered to Stepehnson. Gopinath reiterated that he had nothing to do with Stephenson's case. He said there was no question of his yielding to any kind of threats. The MLA said he was born in the TDP and would last in the Telugu Desam Party. He would never yield to TRS machinations. The TDP MLAs strength in Hyderabad has been dwindling. Two MLAs had quit the party and joined the TRS on Wednesday. The TDP is now left with the lone MP from Malkajgiri, Malla Reddy, and two MLAs, including Gopinath, in Hyderabad.
