The case of shooting among leading medicos of Hyderabad has ended in the doctor shooter committing suicide for fear that his shot might have killed his partner, the police said. The shooter, Dr Sashikumar, had fired from a point-blank range while sitting in car at Dr. Saikumar, but the bullet nicked another partner, Dr Udaykumar instead. The three medicos were partners in the founding of Laurel Hospital at Madhapur, but had fallen out over management decisions. The police, who investigated the case, have found Dr Sasikumar's body at a farmhouse at Nakkalapalli in Moinabad mandal. The police confirmed a theory that Dr Sasikumar's was a case of suicide. But the doctor's wife alleged over TV channels that it was a killing and not a suicide. According to the police, after the shooting Dr Sasikumar went to the farm house at 6 pm on Monday. At 9.30 pm, Dr Sasikumar wrote a suicide note and committed suicide. How he committed suicide was not revealed by the police. Earlier, he rang up his wife, Kranti, and told her that he had been cheated by his friends and that he was committing suicide. As the police teams from Narayanaguda, where the first shooting took place, Moinabad police and Punjagutta police converged and went to the farm house, Dr Sasikumar was already dead. The suicide note, according to the police, says that he was not responsible for the initial shooting. But he was afraid that the injured Dr Udaykumar would die and, therefore, he was committing suicide. He was cheated in the case of management of Laurel Hospital. Medicos Saikumar and Udaykumar had harassed him and, therefore, he was committing suicide.
