7 intensity quake hits Russia Far East

A massive earthquake measuring 7 on the Richter sclae has hit Russia's North Yelizovo. The exact location of the epicentre of the quake was 95 km from Yelizovo and 160 km deep, according to American Geological Survey.

No loss of life or damage to property has been reported.

There was no threat of a Tsunami in the Pacific either.

Yelizovo, the capital of the Kamchatka Peninsula, is a 1,250-kilometre-long (780 mi) peninsula in the Russian Far East, with an area of about 270,000 km (100,000 sq mi). It lies between the Pacific Ocean to the east and the Sea of Okhotsk to the west. Immediately offshore along the Pacific coast of the peninsula runs the 10,500-metre (34,400-ft) deep Kuril–Kamchatka Trench.
