Mahatma Gandhi statue defaced in Jaipur
A Mahatma Gandhi statue was defaced in Jaipur on the eve of Republic Day by unidentified elements that wrote `ISIS Zindabad' on the statue. The head part of the statue was smashed. The incident caused tension in the area. The police are supposed to be on the alert in all Indian cities following reports of possible terror attacks. But the incident taking place in Jaipur caused quite a concern. Jaipur had witnessed a terror attack of serial blasts a couple of years ago. The police are expected to quickly follow up on the statue defacement and find the culprits, for clearly they are linked to the terror elements.
