Masood's arrest scares Pak terror groups

Sat, Jan 16, 2016, 04:20 PM
Islamabad's sudden compulsion of putting Jaish-e Muhammad chief Maulana Masood Azhar in preventive custody has frightened the other terror groups in Pakistan.

Classified as `good' terrorist group by Islamabad, the Jamaat-ud-dawa has found fault with Islamabad's putting Masood Azhar under house arrest.

Dawa chief Hafeez Sayeed said in anger that Islamabad was doing so to please India. He said by doing so Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was not able to realize that more pressure was going to be built up on him.

Hafeez Sayeed was speaking in his terror outfit's headquarters.

If this were Pakistan's domestic response, why would Islamabad, perpetually in denial, dare to put Jaishe chief in house arrest? First it had done so because Pakistan was named for terrorism by President Barack Obama of the US in his state-of-the-nation address.

The President also said he did not wish Islamic civilization indulging in the third world war. That is the US has evidence of Pakistan's clandestine role in the ISIS and generally trouble making in West Asia and elsewhere. With its own nuclear weapons, and delivery systems given to Pakistan by the US, Islamabad could create havoc in the world.

Pakistan's terror groups may not have realized the greater terror role by their own ISI, which the US could gather with its intelligence.
