Don't drive and use mobile in Rajasthan

If you drive and speak on mobile, beware! In Rajasthan, the traffic police are authorized to levy a fine and seize the mobile. The Rajasthan government has passed strict orders in this regard. Speaking on the new regulations, State Home Minister Gulabchand Kataria has said the new regulations will be enforced during the traffic safety week commencing on January 18 on an experimental basis. Kataria also referred to helmet wearing being made compulsory. But he appealed to the manufacturers and retailers not to sell cheap varieties and to maintain quality. He said action would be taken against such manufacturers. Speaking on mobile and driving is a public nuisance. Such users either stop the vehicles, halting and obstructing traffic or cause accidents. Either way, it is dangerous for the fast moving traffic. If instead of calling, an SMS is received, the recipient can check for it conveniently and respond.
