Hyderabad, Dec 28: IT giant Infosys Technologies Ltd. will open its largest campus in Hyderabad in February next year. The 25,000-seat campus is coming up at Pocharam on the city's outskirts. The first phase with 12,000 seating capacity is ready for inauguration. Infosys chief executive officer Vishal Sikka met Telangana's Information Technology Minister K.T. Rama Rao on Monday to invite him for the inauguration. The meeting was held at T-Hub when Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella was visiting the technology incubator. The minister said that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao would inaugurate the Infosys campus. The state's IT policy will also be unveiled on the occasion. The minister said the government wanted to unveil the policy at the hands of Nadella but could not do so because of model code of conduct for ongoing elections to the state legislative council. Infosys currently has a campus in the IT corridor in Gachibowli with a seating capacity of 10,000. The company commenced work on the second campus in 2008. It had then announced that the campus is coming up over 447 acres with a total investment of Rs.1,250 crore. It was scheduled to be completed in three phases over a period of 10 years. The initial investment in the first phase was estimated to be Rs.600 crore.
