Washington, Nov 08: Two Hyderabad-born brothers Yahya Farooq Mohammed (37) and Ibrahim Zubair Mohammed (37) and two others were arrested by Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) after a local court indicted them for funding Al-Qaida to wage Jihad against America.

Farooq studied engineering in University College of Engineering, Osmania University and later moved to US to pursue higher education.

Both the brothers married US citizens and became permanent residents of US. According to reports, Yahya Farooq and others travelled to Yemen to meet Al-Qaida leader Anwar al-Awlaki on July 22, 2009. As Awlaki was unavailable, the accused travelled to Sana in Yemen, met Anwar al-Awlaki's key associate and donated US $ 22,000.

Farooq in an e-mail to his brother stated that the Muslims in India were their brothers and non-Muslims were their enemies.
