Hyderabad, Nov 1: Singer Madhu Priya burst into tears while speaking to her father over phone in a programme conducted by a TV channel. Madhu Priya's father Mallesh rubbished the claims that his daughter is in love with Srikanth since two years. He said that Madhu Priya and Srikanth developed friendship two months ago. Had Srikanth approached us and informed about the love affair, we would have performed the marriage, Mallesh said. Madhu Priya too agreed that Srikanth has never approached her parents. Though I suffered heart attack, Srikanth has not sent Madhu to our home. There is no guarantee that Srikanth will respect my daughter's opinion in future. Tragedy has begun in Madhu's life. On several occasion I assured that I will not raise objection to her marriage even she prefers to marry a dog, he said. Mallesh accused Srikanth of ulterior motives. He said that Srikanth did not oblige his plea to defer marriage till March 18. Srikanth earlier attacked the family members. My daughter is gold and Srikanth is a cheater, he said.
