Pawan to stage protest in Tamil Nadu

Hyderabad, Sep 16: Jana Sena party chief and popular Telugu actor Pawan Kalyan is understood to have decided to stage a dharna in Tamil Nadu to protest against Jayalalitha government's policies against Telugu language. It may be noted that Tamil Nadu government recently issued orders making Tamil a compulsory language in all the schools in the state. With this lakhs of Telugu speaking children lost the opportunity to learn their mother tongue. Despite strong opposition from linguistic minorities, Tamil Nadu government made Tamil language mandatory in all schools. Tamil Nadu Telugu Yuva Shakti is staging protests demanding the government to take measures to preserve and promote Telugu language. The organisation recently staged a protest in Hyderabad and Pawan Kalyan too pledged support to it. According to reports, Pawan would stage a protest by the end of this month at Hosur in Tamil Nadu. It is said that instead of opposing Tamil Nadu government's decision, Pawan would stress the need to protect and preserve Telugu language. Pawan may also meet Jayalalitha to resolve the issue.
