Interpol quizzes India: Why red corner notice against Lalit Modi?

Hyderabad, Sept 7: The Interpol is said to have asked the Indian government as to why it wants a red corner notice against former Indian Premier League chief Lalit Modi, according to a television channel report here today. Interpol has sought reasons from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for the red corner notice to be issued. The Ed is said to have received the query on August 20. The Interpol has asked to know if ample evidence is available against Lalit Modi to arrest him. It also sought details of other accused in this case and the offence under which the case has been registered. The Interpol is also demanding to know why there was a delay in the investigation of the case. Lalit Modi is currently staying in Malta.
