Telangana number one in welfare schemes

Hyderabad, August 15: Telangana State Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today paid homage to the martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the cause of the country, on the occasion of 69th Independence Day celebrations at the Veerula Sainik Smarak in Parade Grounds. The CM hoisted the national flag at Golconda fort. Speaking on the occasion, he said Telangana is number one for welfare schemes. The government achieved good results in Water supply, power, agriculture and welfare departments. Rs 28,000 crore were allotted for welfare department in the budget. Rs 8,500 crore was paid in two phases under loan waiver, KCR said.
