Kangana turns down Melbourne Film award

Hyderabad, August 9: Bollywood actress and National Film Award winner the 27-year-old Kangana Ranaut politely declined the Melbourne Film Festival award of excellence for her role in 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns'. 'But I will attend the award function,' she added. Kangana acted a dual role in the movie. Her upcoming movie 'Katti Bhatti' crew was also invited for the function. It seems that Kangana is following the footsteps of Aamir Khan, who also doesn't like to attend Bollywood film awards functions. He says they look insignificant to him. Kangana also announced of her decision to not to attend awards functions. She says she got a few awards along with a National Film Award. 'I don't believe in awards.' She felt spending time with her friends is more important than attending these. She also said she would rather use that time to prepare for her film roles or simply relax at home.
