Independence Day fete in Vizag
Visakhapatnam, July 28: The Andhra Pradesh government will celebrate the Independence Day on August 15 in Visakhapatnam. District Collector N Yuvaraj and the city Police Commissioner Amith Garg have decided to organise the event at Beach Road in the city and submitted the proposal to State government. The officials inspected the Beach Road yesterday and came to a conclusion that the venue would be ideal for flag hoisting, police march-past, Guard of Honour , tableaux exhibition, police awards presentation and cultural events. As 4,000 people attended the Independence Day fete in Kurnool previous year, officials are making arrangements to accommodate 6,000 people this year. The main venue would be sea-facing. The officials are planning to organise an aerobatics show on this occasion.
