8 killed in road accident
Visakhapatnam, July 20: Eight persons were killed and several others were injured when the auto-rickshaw in which they were traveling was hit by a RTC bus at Madhurawada near the city today. The bus dragged the auto for 50-feet distance. Seven persons died on the spot and another died while being shifted to hospital. The injured were shifted to King George Hospital and there condition was stated to be critical. According to unofficial sources, 12 persons died in the accident. HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao expressed shock over the incident and directed the officials to provide better treatment to the injured.
