TCS attrition rate reaches new high

Hyderabad, July 12: IT major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is facing problems in attracting and retaining talent. In the first quarter of the present financial year, 15,000 employees left the company. The attrition rate in the quarter stood at a new high of 15.9 per cent when compared to 10.5 in first quarter of the previous financial year. The exodus of employees continues despite the company announcing Rs 2,628 crore bonus for the employees. The bonus payout also failed to bring down the attrition levels. The company officials said that attrition rate was high in begging of academic year as employees were resigning to pursue higher education. TCS said that it was making efforts to bring down attrition levels.
