Rana Daggubati behind Karan Johar, Rajamouli collaboration

Mumbai, May 23: Filmmaker Karan Johar will be releasing Hindi version of S.S. Rajamouli's Telugu film "Baahubali - The Beginning". Actor Rana Daggubati is the one who brought the two titans together. Rana, who features in the magnum opus, introduced southern director Rajamouli to Johar and paved way for a professional bond. Confirming this, the film's spokesperson said: “Rana knows both S.S. Rajamouli and Johar. During a conversation about the film, Rana had introduced Johar and Rajamouli to each other. That is where the journey of the collaboration sprinted." Rajamouli recently announced a two film collaboration with Johar. Johar will be presenting both the upcoming films of Rajamouli, read a statement. Johar will release the period drama in partnership with Anil Thadani. "Baahubali", which features Prabhas Varma and Anushka Shetty in the lead roles, is said to be the most expensive Telugu film yet in the making. The second part of the movie is likely to release during 2016 summer. The film, which is said to be the story of two brothers for a kingdom, will hit the screens on July 10.
