NRI woman shot dead in US
New York, May 3, 2015:An NRI woman from Gujarat, shot by an unidentified person, succumbed to injuries on Sunday. The woman, Mrudulaben Patel, was shot at by a person at a gas filling station at Fax Karolina late Thursday night. CCTV foortage showed that the person asked for a cigarette and then shot Mrudulaben Patel. As Mrudula suffered serious injuries in the face, she was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital but she breathed her last this morning. While friends and relatives said she had no enemies, police are at a loss to understand as to why the person shot her after seeking a cigarette.
