1.Soak rice and moong dal together and blend into a fine paste.
2.Take a pressure pan,pour some water.Meanwhile place moong dal mixture in idly moulds by greasing some oil.
3.Cook for 10 minutes till done,remove from pan and keep aside to cool down the mixture.
4.Prepare sugar syrup in another pan by adding some water,boil till it attains thread consistency.
5.Add coconut powder,cardamom powder to sugar syrup and mix well.Now add crumbled moong dal mixture and give it good stir.
6.Switch off the flame and rest aside the mixture to cool down.Meanwhile heat oil for deep frying.
7.Prepare round balls with moong dal mixture,dissolve maida in a bowl by adding some water,prepare a batter .
8.Dip moong balls in batter,drop them in hot oil and deep fry till golden colour,transfer into a plate and serve hot.
