Eggplant and Poppyseed Fry


1.Poppy seeds
3.Coconut grated
4.Coriander leaves
5.Green chillies
7.Cumin seeds
8.Ginger garlic paste
9.Turmeric powder
10.Salt to taste
11.Lemon juice


1.Dry roast poppy seeds and saute till light brown colour on medium flame.
2.Transfer into a blender,add coconut powder,coriander leaves,green chillies and blend into a smooth paste by adding some water.
3.Cut the brinjals in four quarters and deep fry for 30 seconds and keep aside to cool down.
4.Heat some oil in a pan add cumin seeds,ginger garlic paste,turmeric powder and saute,now add ground paste and mix well.Cook for few minutes till moisture oozes out,add some salt.
5.Now stuff this mixture into fried brinjals and cook in a separate pan,cover and cook for 10 minutes and in between turn the brinjals,cook evenly till brinjals are nice and tender.Serve hot.
