Hyderabadi Mirchi ka Salan

Ingredients:

1.Green chillies 
2.Coconut powder
3.Peanuts
4.Sesame seeds
5.Besan flour
6.Oil
7.Cumin seeds
8.Mustard seeds
9.Kalonji
10.Ginger
11.Red chilli powder
12.Turmeric powder
13.Salt
14.Sugar
15.Garam masala powder
16.Tamarind paste

Preparation:

1.Wash and dry peppers (Green chillies) and slit them vertically,keep aside.
2.Grind peanuts,sesame seeds,coconut powder and set aside.
3.Mix tamarind paste and ginger,red chilli powder with 1/4 th cup of water,keep aside.
4.Now fry green chillies in a pan till light brown colour and set them on a paper towel.
5.In the same pan add some more oil and add cumin seeds,mustard seeds,kalonji,besan and mix well.Add ground powder and stir fry for 2 minutes till golden brown colour.
6.Add spice paste,cook for 2-3 minutes till mixture releases oil.Now add sugar, salt, 3 cups of water and bring it to a boil.
7.Lower the heat and simmer for 6-8 minutes.Now add stir fried green chillies to the pan,sprinkle some garam masala powder and cover it with a lid.Cook for 3-4 minutes.Cook till gravy thickens.Serve hot with biryani rice.
