Mysore Rasam

Ingredients:

1.Dried red chillies
2.Chana dal
3.Coriander seeds
4.Pepper
5.Urad dal
6.Cumin seeds
7.Curry leaves
8.Grated Coconut
9.Green chillies
10.Tomato puree
11.Turmeric powder
12.Salt to taste
13.Tamarind juice
14.Toor dal stock
15.Jaggery
16.Ghee
17.Mustard seeds
18.Hing
19.Coriander leaves

Ingredients:

1.Dry roast red chillies,coriander seeds,pepper,chana dal,urad dal for 3-4 minutes till nice aroma on slow flame.
2.Add
cumin seeds,curry leaves,coconut grated and roast for 1 more
min,transfer into a blender and blend well into a fine powder.
3.Boil
some water in a pan,add green chillies,turmeric powder,tomato
puree,salt,tamarind juice,toor dal stock,cover and boil for 5 min.
4.Add ground powder to the boiling pan,simmer the heat and boil for another 2 min.Add small jaggery piece and boil.
5.Heat
some ghee in a pan,add mustard,cumin seeds,hing,curry leaves and saute
for few seconds,transfer into rasam,sprinkle some coriander
leaves,grated coconut and mix well.Serve hot with rice.
