Prawns Cooked in Mustard Curry Sauce


2.Cumin seeds
3.Mustard seeds
4.Poppy seeds
5.Garlic cloves
6.Green chillies
7.Mustard oil
8.Onions chopped
9.Salt to taste
10.Turmeric powder
11.Curry leaves
12.Tomatoes chopped
13.Red chilli powder


1.Dry roast cumin,mustard seeds,poppy seeds on medium flame for few minutes.
2.Take a blender add dry roasted ingredients,combine green chillies,garlic cloves and blend well into a smooth powder.
3.Heat some oil in a pan,add cumin,mustard seeds when they start spluttering add prawns and fry for about 30-40 seconds and remove in separate plate.
4.In the same pan add onions,salt and saute till nice brown colour.Add turmeric powder,curry leaves,tomatoes,ground paste and fry till mixture releases oil on the sides of pan.
5.Now add red chilli powder,cover and cook for 5 minutes.Add some water as required and increase the flame,cook for few minutes.
6.Add fried prawns and give it a fine mix,serve hot.
