Snake Gourd Fritters


1.Potlakaya (Snake gourd)
2.Besan flour
3.Salt to taste
4.Rice flour 1/4 cup
5.Ajwain (Carom seeds,Vaamu)
6.Turmeric powder
7.Red chilli powder
8.Baking soda
9.Ginger garlic paste
10.Oil for deep frying


1.Take a bowl combine besan flour,rice flour,salt,baking soda,ajwain,turmeric powder,red chilli powder and mix well.
2.Meanwhile dissolve ginger garlic paste and combine dry flour mixture and mix well without any lumps.
3.Add some water if necessary,now add snake gourd pieces (cut into roundels or thin strips) to batter,coat well and drop gently in hot oil and deep fry.
4.Keep turning until it turns into a nice golden colour,transfer onto a paper napkin,sprinkle some chaat masala powder.Serve hot.
