Lemon Rasam

Ingredients:

1.Coriander stems
2.Tomatoes chopped
3.Green chillies
4.Curry leaves
5.Salt to taste
6.Turmeric powder
7.Dal water
8.Ghee
9.Pepper corns
10.Cumin seeds
11.Mustard seeds
12.Hing
13.Dried red chillies
14.Lemon juice
15.Sugar a pinch
16.Coriander leaves

Preparation:

1.Take a pan add coriander stems,tomatoes,green chillies,curry leaves,salt,turmeric powder,dal water and some water as required and bring it to boil for 5 minutes.
2.After 5 minutes simmer the flame,cover and boil it for another 7-8 minutes till all ingredients extract the flavours.
3.Melt some ghee in a pan add mustard seeds,dried red chillies,roughly pounded pepper and cumin seeds and hing,saute for a minute.
4.Now pour this tempering on top of rasam and mix well,after all done the boiling has to stop finally then add lemon juice,sugar a pinch and give it a good stir.Serve hot with garnished coriander leaves.
