Green Mango Rice

Green Mango Rice


1.Green mangoes 2 grated
2.Peanuts 1 1/2 tbsp roasted
3.Turmeric powder a large pinch
4.Oil 1 tbsp
5.Mustard seeds 1/4 tbsp
6.Cumin seeds 1/4 tbsp
8.Curry leaves
9.Dry red chillies
10.Salt to taste
11.Ghee 1 1/2 tbsp
12.Coconut grated 4 tbsp
13.Rice 3cups cooked


1.Grind grated mango,peanuts,grated coconut and turmeric powder blend into smooth paste.Set aside the mixture.
2.Take a pan pour some oil,heat it.Add mustard seeds,cumin seeds,asofetida,curry leaves,dry red chillies and saute for 1 minute.
3.Add the paste and peanuts saute for 1 more minute.
4.Add the cooked rice and mix well evenly.
5.Add the remaining grated raw mango,salt and mix well for 2-3 minutes.
6.Transfer the rice into serving dish and garnish with grated coconut and sprinkle some ghee.
