Aatukula Chakkara Pongali


1.Atukulu 2 cups
2.Moong dal 1 cup
3.Jaggery grated 1 cup
4.Dry fruits 20 gms
5.Ghee 2 tbsp
6.Cardamom powder 1 tbsp
7.Boiled milk 1 cup
8.Coconut chopped


1.Take a pan pour some ghee,melt it.Add dry fruits and fry till golden colour.
2.Transfer into a small bowl.Fry coconut chopped for 2 minutes.
3.Add jaggery in the same pan,pour some water for syrup.
4.Soak atukulu for 2-3 minutes.
5.Add boiled and mashed moong dal and keep stirring.
6.Add soaked poha (atukulu) and give it a mix.
7.Add boiled milk to the mixture,cardamom powder and garnish with dry fruits and coconut chopped.
