Ingredients:

1.Toor dal
2.Red chillies
3.Mustard seeds
4.Urad dal
5.Turmeric powder
6.Tamarind
7.Curry leaves
8.Cumin seeds
9.Garlic cloves
10.Hing (Asafoetida)
11.Oil

Preparation:


1.Dry roast toor dal,dry red chillies for few minutes till light brown colour.
2.Transfer into a bowl and set aside to cool down the mixture.
3.Transfer the toor dal mixture into a grinder,add cumin seeds,salt,turmeric and grind well into a fine poqwder.
4.Add tamarind,garlic cloves,some water as required and blend into a coarse paste.
5.Heat some oil in a pan,add tempering seeds,curry leaves,red chillies,hing and saute for a minute till they start spluttering.Transfer into toor dal mixture and mix well.
