Urundu Kolambu

Ingredients:

1.Chana dal
2.Toor dal
3.Coconut milk
4.Oil
5.Onion chopped
6.Turmeric powder
7.Mustard seeds
8.Salt to taste
9.Green chillies
10.Red chilli powder
11.Fennel seeds
12.Garam masala powder
13.Curry leaves

Preparation:

1.Grind soaked toor dal,chana dal,dry red chillies,cumin seeds,pepper corns,salt into a smooth paste.
2.Prepare small round dumplings from the chana dal mixture and place them in idly moulds.Cook for 5-10 minutes till done.
3.Take another pan pour 1/2 cup oil and heat it.
4.Sprinkle some fennel seeds,cumin seeds,green chillies 4-5,onion chopped 1 cup,curry leaves and saute,fry for few minutes.
5.Add 1 tbsp garam masala powder,salt to taste and mix well.
6.Add red chilli powder 1/2 tbsp,turmeric powder 1/2 tbsp, give it a stir.
7.Add some water as we needed and bring it to boil,add 1 cup coconut milk and give it a good stir.
8.Finally add steamed balls in boiling mixture,cook on medium flame.Transfer into a bowl and serve hot.
